I love Halloween. As Andi and I were sitting at Starbucks I was smiling as I watching Batman take orders. I though when else can some lady in a black vinyl coat ring me up and it not be strange. I was sitting with Cinderella thinking what other day is this ok? I started to think, I think I like Halloween much better than Christmas. Halloween is fun! Halloween is great! Woo Hoo Halloween.
I had the cutest picture to share of Andi. I had her in a darling Tinkerbell costume, but she had to add a pink belt and white socks to ruin it all, but it was funny. Yeah she was Tinkerbell from 7am-8am then she is Cinderella from 8:30am-5:30pm then she will be Ariel for trick or treating. I wonder where she gets her indecision from??????
Anyway, I don't have my USB cord to upload that picture from here at work so I will do it tomorrow.
Have a very safe and Happy Halloween!

Unfulfilled
That last entry made me feel totally unfulfilled. I was so brutally honest (ok embarrassing) yesterday I felt like I needed to lighten the load. Then while I was getting ready for work, where I should be BTW, I thought why doesn't anyone share the uncute things their kids say? I mean we all love those funny stories about so and so said this and we all laughed, but what about the 80% of uncute? Where are those? I can share, I have no shame... obviously, typing from a piss filled keyboard, remember.
How about "I don't like you!" or "go away", or "you're not my best buddy", or how about in referring to my sister "Jenn disappoints me", ok well that one is funny.
But that kid spews evil all the time and it drives me insane! Don't get me wrong every time she gets scolded and sent to her room, but still she still spews the venom. Or this one is always nice "No! I don't like to!" She is 2, since when does she or should she have a choice? Sigh....
You know I am beyond grateful that she does talk and she has such a strong personality, last thing I want to raise is a bump on a log, but sometimes it is a bit much. But I have to admit, my heart beats loud and proud when she says "California has fires, that makes me sad."
Ok I promise no more from me until tomorrow.

So How About This Weather?
So I was a waitress at a Chammps in South Dakota for about a month during my very short lived move out there with my at the time boyfriend, Andrew. It sucked, people in the Midwest felt that leaving the change is a tip. For example there was a group of people drinking and having appetizers. Their total was $29.12 and my tip was what was left of $30, .82 cents. Seriously. I don't think it had anything to do with my service, but more to do with their lack of sympathy for the tall, skinny blond girl who left amazing Arizona for South Dakota. Of course there were some cool people out there, but for the most part I felt jipped.
What does this have to do with the weather Kim? You ask. Well there was a cook there who heard me complaining about the weather there to another waiter. I mean we got there in March and there was still snow on the ground. The first day of June it was 40 degrees. I am someone who NEEDS sunshine, I was miserable in that weather. And the cook said to me "Don't like the weather? Wait a minute." He was right, I had never heard that expression before, considering I was from ARIZONA. I guess that story came to mind because I was thinking, man in AZ if you don't like the weather, well that is too damn bad. It has been hot since May. It is still in the 90's. I remember as a kid trick or treating and at least needing tights under our tutu's or a sweater over the clown costume. My girls could be strippers and not cold one bit. I may end up loosing them to a foster family, but they won't be cold tomorrow night.
I am finding this ridiculous. What is going on? It is almost November. Can you imagine the shock our family will feel when we head to Colorado for Thanksgiving? Yikes.

Heartbreak Kid
So I had my heart broken this weekend by someone I least expected it from. Someone whom I knew could do it, but it has been so long. Someone selfish and inconsiderate. Someone whom I love and someone whom I hate. Myself.
I broke my own heart. The old me came back and hurt the new me.
My selfishness tried to overtake who I have become and because she almost won I was hurt.
We had busy plans this past Saturday. A pumpkin carving/painting party and then a dress up birthday party. It was a lot to pack into a late afternoon/early evening. Andi has decided naps are for babies and I knew there was no way I could get her to lay down before we headed out. Lily started her runny nose business and I was concerned I would be wiping it all day while dealing with a cranky Andi. So I decided I would just leave Lily at home with her dad. I decided getting her in and out of the car, finding a place to change her diaper and finding appropriate foods to feed her and give her meds while at two different places was too much for me to handle and I decided Lily should miss out on the fun. That my 5 year old daughter was too much work and she had to miss out on kid parties. So feeling a bit guilty, but planning on sticking to this plan I told Andrew, can you stay home with Lily?
He said you aren't taking her? That isn't fair? She wants to go. I got pissed instead of understanding and yelled it's too much work and then stood there. I stood, and just stayed there. Then the flood of guilt covered me and I cried. And I cried and I cried some more. Andrew saw me, hugged me and asked what was wrong and I cried.... I don't want her to be different. I don't want her to be a challenge. I want her to run to the car, to buckle herself up. I want to have intelligible conversations with my daughter. It isn't fair. I don't want to have to find places to change my 5 years old diaper. I don't, I don't, I don't! And I most of all don't want to not include her b/c she can't do all that. I was so pissed with myself for wanting to take the easy way out. Take the mobile kid, Lily won't know. But regardless of if Lily would know or not. I knew. I know.
So I asked Andrew to go with me and he did, we carpooled with Kim and Joey and we had a good time. At both places. I have to appreciate Kim, tell it like it is, one of the greatest things to have happened to me is the growth of our friendship this past year. She gets in my car, I am late and I say, "sorry minor breakdown, I was upset that I didn't want to bring Lily" And she said "good". It was good that I was so upset. It means I know better and will continue to be better.
I am so thankful that my husband showed me who I WAS and who I am NOW. I am so thankful that he showed me I was wrong. I am thankful that I am not who I was and I pray it will be years before she tries to resurface.
I still struggle with my cards dealt. This is hard to admit. I am supposed to put on a smile and say it is all meant to be. But some days I don't want to smile. I don't want to have a different family, but not wanting something doesn't mean anything. I know what I need to do and I will continue to do so. So I am so sorry Lily. You aren't a burden and I promise to do my best to never let you feel like one.

The Bachelor
So I must be the last person still watching The Bachelor. I can't help it, I get sucked in every time. But it isn't surprising knowing that Rock of Love was my summer top pick and I Love New York is a must see. I can't help but think each time that it will work out. I am not sure why I want it to work out, Trista and Ryan make me want to throw up. Her baby voice is more than I can take and getting a People Magazine cover for having a baby is so unfair especially after a free million dollar wedding. Gag. But still I have hopes for this new guy. The Texas cutie with the heavy twang. It makes me think though about that show and what kind of people they pick for the show. Just about every season there is a divorcee whom has to tell the Bachelor that she was married before and it is a huge deal to these guys.
This is 2007! This is a generation of not living with your mistakes. 20 years ago I would have tried to make it work with my ex. We would have thrown a couple kids in the mix and then decided it wouldn't work and made life miserable for not only us but for our kids in the middle. I knew he wasn't the one and we decided a clean break before things got too deep was the right way to go about it. I do not regret getting divorced at 21, not to say I don't regret my marriage. It was immature and irresponsible, but such is life. I make mistakes daily, stick with me and you will see. I was not willing to pay for the rest of my life for this one though. I know I am not alone and these bachelors need to realize we aren't in the 1950's anymore. We women are taking charge and becoming responsible for our own happiness.
If I never left, I would have never met my true soul mate and the world would be a sad place without LilyAnna Blu and Andi Jane.

Yawn....
Sigh... long night, so long that it ended up being a late morning. This late:
Andrew: "Kim it's 7:52am"
Kim: "Shut up"
Andrew: "Seriously"
Kim: "Shut up, you're kidding"
Andrew: Shows me his phone
Kim: "Help me with Lily NOW!"
Poor Lily is woken up and her clothes were changed and she was in her wheelchair and still didn't know which way was up. I got a couple bites of meds in on some yogurt, gave her some chocolate milk and the bus pulled up. I felt like the worst mom on the planet. I called her teacher and asked her to feed her some applesauce when she gets there, but still I feel like poo. Poor kiddo. :(
That is not the way to start a day. I didn't get Andi to daycare until 10am and I didn't make it to work until 10:30am! Sigh... payroll today too... at least I can work thru lunch if I need to.
Sigh.....
So I went to MOPS for the first time last week. I liked it, I think I will keep on going, but I was conflicted with the topic. They had a women talk to us about safety. She had some great tips and I know we have to be very protective now these days, but I kept thinking about all the things I did as a kid that I would hate for Andi to miss out on. Like sleepovers. They said no sleepovers. Especially ones with older brothers and dads, and I understand that I do, BUT I can't imagine a childhood without sleepovers. I lived at my friends houses and they all had older brothers and dads. I absolutely loved growing up with my friend Marlene's family. They had 5 kids in her family and the first three kids were boys. I had so much fun with her family I had dinner there every Wednesday before we went to a Church club and I probably slept there if not every weekend then every other. Never once did anything ever happen. I know things can and do very often. I guess I was fortunate to have really good friends with really good families, but I just can't imagine never having those sleepovers. We had so much fun. We talked so much during those nights, I just can't imagine taking that away from my kids. Well from Andi. It really seems so wrong and unfair that our kids can't just live as kids. We have to try to creep proof everything and it seems impossible. You keep them from everything and they rebel, you let them do it all and they rebel. Raising kids is so hard. There is so much you have to think about that you never imagined. Andi is only two and I am already thinking about what I will allow and not allow. I am such a softy, I worry if I cave, she will be pregnant at 16 and doing crack.
I think I need more sleep. This parenting thing is tough.

Post weekend wrap up
Friday night was a blast! So hilarious! So much fun! I had a great party and got $80 worth of goodies a.k.a. purple dildo's.
Saturday we worked all day our last "official" day at the store, then we closed er up and went to the Coyotes game. Front stinking row! It was sweet! I was giving the guys my love and we were having fun, high rolling! Got free food and drinks with the tickets and we had a blast!
Sunday..... :( Sunday.....
Sunday sucked. My husband thought he could do a "little" bike ride with his friend and his borrowed Harley. Church started at 10am and he never showed up. Church was packed full.... had it always been that full our doors wouldn't be closing, but whatever. The music was incredible, just amazing. It was like a funeral though. I would be ok, then look at someone crying and I would start up. I'd get my composure and see someone else and again start all over again. It was tough. A lot of faces I am used to seeing every week, I won't see anymore. A building I grew up in I won't step foot in again. That is tough. I was so upset that Andrew wasn't there with me. He didn't realize the ride was going to be so far away, but I told him bottom line "I needed him and he wasn't there". Tough day.
Yesterday we had a friends and family day at the store and I rang up my final customer at 8:30pm. The store is done. A lot of finality this weekend.
I have to look at is a lot of opportunity for change. But as a creature of habit, change is a tough pill to swallow. But what can I do? Lie around, mope? No! I will take a large glass of water and choke that horse pill down. What else can I do?
Bare with me through my transitions.

Interesting weekend ahead
So it will be an interesting weekend for sure.
Tonight starts with a Passion Party. I am hosting it at my place. I have never been and have no idea what to expect! If you live in AZ and know me personally and were not invited, it is only b/c I was too embarrassed to ask. If you wanna come shoot me an email. The more the merrier. My worst fear is me, Kim and Allison sitting there with a whole bunch of dildos. I've got sangria sitting in the fridge soaking up all the flavor.... yummmmm! I did label it however, our nurse will be home with Lily and I could only picture her giving Lily a large glass of sangria. I also pictured her having some as well. Only b/c she has to be the sweetest person on this planet. I have known a lot of LDS women, I grew up in Mesa. I have good friends who are LDS, but this woman is unreal. Like picture the most ethical, honest, kindest person on the planet and you will find her. She won't take an extra hour or two when I am practically shoving them down her throat. I just had a funny image of her accidentally having a glass of my sangria. I like to have fantasies play in my head. It keeps things interesting. Anyway, I am a little embarrassed for her to know what my party tonight is for so I am hoping to just tell her it is a girls night in and hope I get her out of the house before a large purple penis van pulls up.
That is tonight.
Tomorrow is our last Saturday at Closet a la Mode. The doors are closing. Finished. Kaput! All of us girls will be there for our last day and then we'll celebrate, I guess what else can I say, at the Coyotes game. Glass seats! Pray for some good celeb watching. These are primo seats. Or at least a great fight in front of my face. Again, I know it is another spotting's event (2 in one week!) BUT they are seats that all the best people watching will be taking place. I love watching rich people. Watching them fart and blame it on the little guy selling peanuts. Rannnndommmm......
Then Sunday... oh Sunday. My heart is scared for Sunday. My tummy is flipping for Sunday. Sunday will be the last day in the only church that I have ever known. The church I have gone to for 27 years. 27 years! I am 28 years old. Just about every Sunday of my life has been spent at Tri City Alliance. I have gone thru many Pastors. Some who have changed my life and some I hardly remember. I have made some of my best friends whom I still know and love at Tri City Alliance. A church that accepted me and loved me thru one divorce and accepts and loves Andrew. A church who diligently prayed for Lily thru all her hardships and prayed for us as well while dealing with it all. A church who had me in just about every Christmas production we have had and sometimes with really big parts. There are no words to describe what I feel about what is happening. The church is closing. It is over. Almost three decades and it is over. I now have to find a new church. A church that I trust sending Lily to class at. A church I know Andi will enjoy. A church with a music team my husband will love to listen to and a place I will feel at home. That isn't easy and I am not sure I am up for the challenge. Sigh.
Here is me at Tri City Alliance in the nursery in the early 80's, I'm the one sitting Paris style WITH PANTIES on

Here is me in the same room assistant teaching VBS this summer with my kids.

Wish me luck this weekend~

Offensive Driving School?
So we are on our way to San Diego. I am driving. Cautiously I remind you. And here is a conversation between Andrew and I.
Andrew: "You need to go to defensive driving school"
Kim: "I have twice, once at 16 and once at 19"
Andrew: "No, you need to learn to be more aggressive, you are too nice and let too many people in"
Kim: "Exactly what I learned in DD school, leave two car lengths between you and another car."
Andrew: "No that is not what I mean"
Kim: "You mean I need to go to OFFENSIVE Driving school?"
Andrew: "Yes"
Kim: "First off, they don't offer that. Secondly until you have a clean record and a drivers license that is NOT revoked, then you can judge".
Crickets chirping

TGIT
Whew... is it weird to say thank God it's Tuesday? Man, I am worn out!
We just got back from Music Therapy that we had to make up since we played hookie last Monday. Yesterday we went to OT/ST then raced home for PT @11am then I shoved food in Bug's mouth and we ran out to Music therapy in Phoenix by 1pm. Talk about one busy Mother.
I am write now typing on a pissed filled keyboard that smells every bit pissed filled. I am not even sure you want to know why or how I have a keyboard filled with piss and I am thinking to preserve all your thoughts on my stellar parenting, I will not tell you why I am typing on a pissed filled keyboard that I am so amazed even works correctly. It will be replaced, but not until I have a free moment. Oh I had one of those yesterday, an hour while both kids slept. Guess what I did with that glorious hour? Grocery shopped. Husband home with kids... disclaimer....Got treated like a felon while trying to use two diaper coupons for one package of diapers. Hell I am new to coupons, don't call the Fry's security please lady!
My hands smell like piss.
So I went to a Cardinals Football game on Sunday. I know you are all saying, Kim that is going against all your beliefs. But people I was just calling my husbands bluff. He comes to me Thursday and shows me 4 tickets to the game and says "can I go?" less than a second later he is on the phone with his buddies. I tell him while he is on the phone that I would like to go. "You would?" he asks. "Yes as a matter of fact I would" poker faced Kim says. "Oh great! I really didn't think you would want to go." he stuttered. "Were you thinking of asking me?" I rebuttal. "I didn't think you would want to but I am happy you do." He studdered again. I really had no desire to go. He just didn't ask me therefore I had to ruin his plans with his friends. He still brought some and I was the only one with a whowho, but and don't tell anyone this, but I enjoyed it. It took one margarita, two cokes, one bag of cotton candy, a pretzel with cheese and peanuts, but by the last quarter I was up more than the guys were and screaming at the players. Poor little Matt looked so cute down there with his sling and his dress out clothes.
So I went to a sports event and tada enjoyed it. Had fun with Andrew's friends, but please don't tell him any of this.
Off to wash my hands.

Crazy week!
It has been a busy one so I will share more photos from SD. Yes Kelly, that is Andi, I could only wish Lily could stand unassisted! Plus Lily is more than a head taller than Andi!
Lily rode this rollercoaster 3x! She kept putting her hands together for more!

From the headline of Us Weekly
"Pro Surfer Andrew Bobburf was upset with the photogs while trying to vacation with his family in early October this year....."

Aww.... I hate my hair cut... I so regret cutting it... why didn't you all tell me not to cut it??????

You're way too beautiful girl....

Little stinker

And we're back!
So SD was so fabulous we decided to stay an extra day and didn't get back until yesterday afternoon! I checked the weather online before we left and decided to pack winter clothes, that is AZ winter clothes btw, and we were pleasantly surprised and hot in our clothes. The weather was amazing! No marine layer, no clouds, nothing but sunshine and cool evenings. Perfect! Absolutely perfect!
Andrew decided we needed to take his huge Chevy truck with all the crap in it. You know too dark window tint, too loud exhaust, radar detector (to tell us where the cops iz (a little Beastie Boys for you)), you know just crap, enviro unfriendly crap.
He also decided since his license is well let's just say not quite legit, I would drive his big loud truck. I am a good driver, perfect record, I am just what insurance companies love, I had cruise control on and everyone was sleeping, and I was listening to my book enjoying life. I didn't realize speed limit went from 75 to 65 and I got zapped going 77 in a 65. Guess what the cop said, "I wouldn't have pulled you over except for the window tint". GRRRRRR, I looked at Andrew with venom. Anyway, my charm convinced him that I am too lovely to get a ticket and got out of everything, including the fact my husband didn't have proof of insurance in the truck. I am so charming.
The vaca was just perfect. Sea World was great, the weather was nice, it wasn't crowded, Lily rode the roller coaster three times! She LOVED it! Andrew said she liked it so much they let her go 2x and then he told me to take her since she liked it so much and it was really fun. We went with my good friend, her husband who was brain injured from a car accident two years ago, her two year old son and a babysitter. Andi and her Joey are in love and they were great! They kept each other company the entire time! We had good seafood. We had a great day at the beach, I jumped in, it was cold, but fun! Andi loved it there, she kept taking off, so not like her, but it was like all this fun how can I stay put?!
My friend, Kim, her husband was such a good sport. He is taking steps, but still in a wheelchair, he gets tired easy, but he kept up with us. He kept going into song and we would all sing along. He is so funny! One time Kim was putting on his braces to take some steps and he said "it hurts Kim" and he said again "it hurts Kim" then he broke into song "hurts so good!" We all laughed and continued the song.
The weekend was practically my dream come true, my life as a musical. In sunny San Diego. It sounds too cheesy to be true, but it really was.
We were at breakfast on Sunday and we all were saying, I don't want to go home today and so we said let's not. We did have to be out of the beautiful beach house, so we got a room at The Surfer right on Mission Beach. It was a dive, but on the beach, what more can you ask for? We watched the sunset at the restaurant looking at the horizon. Again, I am cheesy, but seriously so fabulous!
We did have to make one trip to the Urgent Care, but not for one of my kids. Andi and Joey appeared to have been bitten by something in the Bay and Andi was fine, Joey was not. During the day his spots started turning into blister sores all over his body, Kim and I took him to the Urgent Care, just to be safe. He was OK, the Dr. thought it was a jellyfish, but we are skeptical since they never cried or said it hurt until Joey's got worse. Andi never said anything, ever. I thought jellyfish stings hurt. I saw that Friend's episode. Anyway after we both looked like over protective parents asking a million questions I said to Kim the minute the door shut, "you know what we look like don't you?" She laughed and said she was about to say the same thing. Then we were walking out and Kim said "Mommy One will pay for this". It was hilarious. We also noticed how much of a "dick magnet" (Kim's term not mine) that Andrew's truck is. We were cat called, stared at and hollered at as we drove around Mission Beach with the windows down. Kim said, "Next girls night out were taking this!"
I have to say just how proud of my husband I was. He was so patient the entire trip. Since we thought we were leaving Sunday Kim gave her husbands sand wheelchair back to the nice people that loaned it to her on Saturday. Andrew decided to carry him onto the beach that Sunday . No easy feat, he is a big guy. Andrew said if he wanted to go to the beach then he will get him on the beach. It was pretty cool. We also all went to the bar that last night, thanks to babysitter, and he had a great time. Kim said it had been years since they have been out, so I think it was a good time for everyone. Andrew did great with the kids as well. Joey we think fell in love with him. It worked out since Andi and Lily love Kim, so when we were all tired of our own kids, we just switched. LOL.
We headed home yesterday morning and it was a rough ride. Both girls cried from Yuma to Gila Bend, not local? Check a map. It is a long ride with crying kids. Lily though if she is crying you know something is wrong, Andi is b/c she has a brain disorder that causes her absolutely unable to sit still for more than 10 minutes. Lily was crying every time she burped. Must be indigestion we figure so we stop for anti acids and still crying, crying, crying. She didn't sleep the night before, I mean not from 1am on, so we knew she was tired. She was having lots of jerks and would cry harder so we gave her 1/2 a klonopon, still crying so Andrew gave her the other half. She was out from 2pm til 8am today! OUT! She woke up ok, tired and groggy, but her ear was bright red and hot. She is home with the nurse since she is still on fall break for one more week (were on a modified year round schedule, 9 weeks on 2.5 off for 3 qtrs then 6 weeks for summer) and I told her to call me if it gets worse or if she gets a fever, no call yet. I remember the last time Lily cried like that, especially after burping she had an ear infection so I am worried about her. I will see how she was today.
Anyway, it has taken me forever to get this thing written, I've had to work can you imagine?! So I don't have pix yet, I haven't had time to upload, but I got some great ones! I can't wait to look at them on the computer! Sweet!
Oh and remember me telling you about the poor guy who got robbed while lying dying where I work? Well I guess it should be no surprise that a dude on a bike took my brothers wallet out of his backpack.... his backpack was hanging from his WHEELCHAIR!!!!!?????????????????????????? Seriously that is what kind of people exist here. I mean can you get any lower than that? Reminds me of the bible days, people God decided to wipe out in a flood. I best be getting to work on my boat.

And we're off!
We are going to San Diego today. We are driving, blech... about a 5-6 hour drive. Lily has fall break for the next 2.5 weeks so we are making the best of it!
We are meeting up with my friend and her family. Her husband was in a bad accident 2 years ago and is still recovering, so needless to say we will get great parking and perks @ Sea World with the wheelchairs!
We are staying at a beach house and I am so excited! I will actually take pictures, unlike last weekend and share when I return from the cool weather! Yes going to California for us is a break from the heat!

West Side!
So we are lying in bed this morning, watching the news, relishing in the fact that both girls are in their own beds sleeping past 7am when we see a story.
The newscaster says it was last night while a man was holding his groceries waiting for the bus when a truck out of nowhere hits him and takes off. He is lying there dying, his groceries are spread out all over the ground. She says as if that isn't bad enough, instead of calling for help people started stealing his groceries. I mean, seriously? Seriously? I say to Andrew, that has to be a bad area for not one good citizen to help out. Not one?! Then they say, let's go to Diane, she is on scene. I see Diane talking and I see a taqueria that is by my office. Oh there must be a chain of those little taquerias. Then I see the sweet shop that I get my escamocha's at, across the street from my office! Then I see my office as well as a paint van pulling into the office. OMG, this was across the street from where I work! OMG! I mean, I know it isn't safe, but I didn't know that if I am to be hit by a car not only will I die from it, I will be robbed as well.

Old School
So the weekend was interesting to say the least. Friday night we roll up an hour late and immediately I am feeling like I am back in High School. I was nervous and had no idea what or who to expect. The first person to greet me was an old neighbor. A good Mormon boy whom we played football with on our street. My best friends (well two of them) and I all lived on the same street. I was thrown a little off guard by his long curly hair and couldn't for the life of me remember his name! I was thinking, he is Dieter, right? I knew the other guy with him well, I was friends with him since Elementary school so I was comfortable introducing my husband, so I said "Andrew this is Blake and Dieter" and Steve puts out his hand and says "Steve". That is right, it was Steven! OMG! Bury my now. I went on like I never said that and talked some more. Feeling like crawling in a hole.
Then I hear the murmurs, "Kim, J.C. is right over there." OMG, I can't talk to him. OMG, I don't want to talk to him.
J.C. what do I say about J.C.? He used to stare at me in chemistry. Enough to make me want to leave the class. He would just stare. Then he asked me to a dance and having never had a date before let alone a boyfriend I decided to go. Then things moved fast, first kiss at 16 (!) and a lot of other firsts. He was obsessive, controlling and not a fun boyfriend to say the least. We dated for 6 months, I didn't go to New York that summer b/c of him and then I broke it off. He made things difficult for me, he would still tell me he loved me. Write me letters, just creeped me out. He was the last person I wanted to see. I would have rather seen my ex husband than J.C.
So when I saw him and knew in order to reach my pizza I would have to pass him, I realized I could just skip out on dinner. But he came to me. Ugh.
"J.C.! Hi! It is so great to see you!" I lied as I hugged him, him and his extra 50 pounds he managed to put on. He introduces me to his beautiful, young wife and proceeds to list off all the places he saw me in the past 10 years. None of which I had any recollection of. I have to admit it was a little annoying to hear of his mission he served for the LDS church when I know what kind of boyfriend/person he was. But whatever, to each their own. I introduced him to Andrew and then came in Brandi and I was so excited to see her I totally skipped out on hearing anymore about how I was seen 50 yards away at the movies 8 years ago and I was wearing a tube top.
Brandi and I lost contact after I left all my friends New Years Eve to hang out with now said husband. I just said, at least it was worth it right? We laughed. It was so good to see some people.
What I wasn't expecting was seeing such an insecure side of my husband. He was so miffed by my nervousness to see J.C. that he thought I still dug him. I said "did you see him?!" He said "you didn't know what he would look like now." I said again "Did you see him?" I was going on about me not introducing him to people and not being by his side. This is coming from the guy who we go to a party and split up the entire night. Same guy that wouldn't bat an eye if an entire football team were to hit on me, but he was afraid of my 1st HS boyfriend. So weird. He said "why did Allison have to call you and tell you he was fat?" I reply with "because we are girls!" It was strange. The whole thing was very odd.
The Saturday night thing was even stranger. It would have had a better showing if they didn't hire some dumb dotcom to do the whole thing. I could have done it better and cheaper and by far cooler. But I got my drink on. I danced. I saw some old friends. I traded name tags with my friend Kim. I know wild right... well it had our Senior picture on it, so it did make it a little funny. Plus Kim's dad was our Vice Principal, so her name tag gave me some clout! Mine just gave her bad hair! OK, a lot funny when people came by and tried to figure out who we were.
All and all it was a fun weekend. I enjoyed being with my friends and seeing faces that I actually wanted to see.
No major drama, I knew my ex wouldn't be there, not his style. I saw a guy that couldn't make up his mind about me. We dated a little, made out a couple times, but we always did better as friends. It was fun to see him since he was gorgeous in HS and not so much anymore. The best looking guy, besides my insecure husband of course was a small guy who used to play in a band. I saw him and said "OMG Chris! Do you remember me?" He said "of course!" so that was cool. He was a hottie ma tottie with a cute little boy in a mohawk. Did I mention we brought our kids Friday night? Everyone was real cool with Lily, talking to her and telling me how beautiful she is.
So this is long and probably of no interest to you all, but I have always wondered about my reunion. Who would go, what would it be like and it is over and done. Another 10 years to do it again.
I see the Dr. tomorrow to follow up on the blood work. I have been feeling great, then boom last night dizzy again and all this morning. My ear feels clogged so that could be it. I am so done with being dizzy.
I got this from Kelly I thought it was interesting http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460 apparently I am a Giuliani girl. Next is Edwards and third is Biden. Makes sense since I am Independant, makes sense to have both parties chillin in my hood.
Then I hear the murmurs, "Kim, J.C. is right over there." OMG, I can't talk to him. OMG, I don't want to talk to him.

I got this from Kelly I thought it was interesting http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460 apparently I am a Giuliani girl. Next is Edwards and third is Biden. Makes sense since I am Independant, makes sense to have both parties chillin in my hood.
